When’s the Last Time You Visited Us?
Do you see our emails every month and think to yourself that you need to pick up the phone and schedule an appointment for a cleaning or treatment? We know that the past year has been unusual for everyone. You might have cancelled your appointment months ago and forgotten to reschedule, or maybe you are overdue for a cleaning because life has been busy and time has gotten away from you. Whatever the reason, we want to encourage you to schedule your next appointment today. Delaying hygiene visits and needed treatments can cause major consequences. Read on to find out more.
Time For a Visit
We know that our office isn’t always your favorite place to be, but we want to encourage you to schedule a hygiene visit or treatment that you have been delaying or avoiding. We have heard patients comment that they maintain a strict oral care routine at home with brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash so they feel they can skip their hygiene visits. We want to remind you that we do more than just clean your teeth when you come for a routine visit. We also monitor and check for tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancer.
It is especially important to schedule an appointment if we already recommended a treatment such as a filling for a cavity, root canal, or treatment to help with gum disease. Unlike some other health problems, dental issues and concerns don’t get better on their own or disappear if left untreated. Dental issues will always progress into a more serious complication, ultimately leading to two problems: larger expense and more discomfort.
If you are experiencing any indication that there is a problem developing or present with your oral health, we want you to contact our office as soon as possible for an appointment. We would also love to have you schedule an appointment if you have not visited our office in the past six months for a hygiene visit. Please be assured that we are maintaining a safe and comfortable atmosphere in our office located in Wayne, NJ. We hope to see you sooner rather than later!
