Oral health is the foundation of beautiful, well-functioning, smiles and accumulating research shows that it is also important for your overall health and well-being.We are living longer and need to keep our natural teeth longer.Unfortunately, time, wear and tear, health conditions, putting off needed care (“nothing hurts or it’s only a back tooth”), oral injuries, stress, and other factors take a toll on teeth and gums. Don’t worry; your smile can be restored, no matter how badly damaged your teeth are. Even if you have lost some or all of your teeth, we have excellent restorative options.
Implants are a great option for many. Please click below or view our Implant Section from our website dropdown menu. Click Here
Inlays and Onlays
These restorations are very similar, but an inlay is the smaller more conservative restoration, which covers less of the tooth surface than an onlay. They are custom made from porcelain to restore large cavities and other damage. Inlays or onlays may be used if a tooth has sustained too much damage for a simple filling, but a full crown is not needed. For certain situations, they can be made here in our office with E4D technology, the entire procedure is completed in one visit.
Crowns are also known as Caps are used to restore and protect teeth that have large restorations which are failing due to age or recurring decay, for cosmetic enhancement or to protect a tooth after it has had root canal (endodontic) treatment. In most cases, we prefer to use porcelain or zirconia dental crowns, which are very attractive and highly durable. In some cases, a gold crown is needed especially on molars. As a possible option, our office is equipped with E4D CAD/CAM technology, which allows us to create beautiful porcelain crowns right here during your appointment.
A traditional fixed dental bridge is a false tooth, secured in place by dental crowns on the teeth on either side of the space; positioning the false tooth exactly where the natural tooth was. When possible, an implant and porcelain crown may be a better option, because it does not require any tooth alteration. Additionally, tooth replacement will help preserve the health of your jawbone, surrounding teeth, bite and TMJ.
Dr.Edeer works with the best labs and is uniquely experienced and highly skilled at engineering and securing the best possible anchors and attachments with your existing teeth and bite. In many cases you can say good bye to unsightly metal clips, instability and rocking motion from the appliance which makes it much more comfortable and functional.
Full Dentures and Implant Supported Dentures
The traditional style of removable denture is sometimes a faster and more economical solution, but its success relies heavily on the condition of your palate and existing jaw bone levels. Many people will find additional support and comfort with an implant supported denture. As the bone and gum tissue evolve, dentures can become loose and uncomfortable. Relining them is part of required maintenance but it must be repeated as your bone levels change over time. Alternatively, your denture can be fitted with housings, which allow them to snap over dental implants. This provides a stable foundation, allowing you to eat what you want and smile with confidence.
